Lother Named Canada West MVB All-Star
Fourth year setter Dan Lother was honoured with a selection to the CW MVB Second All-Star Team..
The University of Winnipeg Wesmen and the Canada West Universities Athletic Association would like to announce that men’s volleyball player Dan Lother has been named to the Canada West Men’s Volleyball Second All-Star Team.
Dan Lother, fourth year setter, finished 2nd in assists (10.57 apg) and 10th in digs (2.05 dpg) in the Canada West Conference. Dan had a season high 59 assists on October 24 at UBC, (3rd highest in Canada West Conference during the regular season). He was named the University of Winnipeg Male Athlete of the Month (February, 2010) and the Male Player of the Week two times during the 2009-2010 season. “Any awards received by our team members are a reflection of everyone. Our team is measured by the team accomplishment. That Dan have been chosen as Canada West All-Stars is an honour for our entire team”, said Wesmen Head Coach Larry McKay.
