The University of Winnipeg Wesmen in conjunction with Lea Marc Printing are pleased to announce that Men’s Volleyball Player Dan Lother and Women’s Volleyball Player Lauren Sears have been chosen as the Lea Marc Printing Wesmen Athletes of the Month for February, 2010.
Dan Lother, men’s volleyball,
· 287 assists (eight matches)
· 56 digs
· 11 kills
· Seven service aces, four blocks
· Named University of Winnipeg Wesmen Male Player of the Week
(February 1 - 7, 2010)
· Placed third in assists (10.33 apg) in the Canada West Conference during the regular season.
Lauren Sears, women’s volleyball
· 68 kills (five matches)
· 15 digs
· 15 blocks
· Six service aces
· Named University of Winnipeg Wesmen Female Player of the Week
(February 1 - 7, 2010)
· Led Canada West Conference in service aces (34) and 6th in hitting percentage (.276) during the regular season.
