WESMEN 0 Dickinson State 13 (Game One)

A pair of big innings lifted the Dickinson State University Blue Hawks to a 13-0 victory over the University of Winnipeg Wesmen in the first of two games Sunday afternoon in Dickinson, North Dakota.

The Blue Hawks scored five runs in the second inning and blew the game open with six more runs in the fifth.

Dickinson State pounded out 12 hits. Winnipeg managed four hits in the contest.

Winnipeg will look to even the series in the second game later this afternoon.

WESMEN 5 Dickinson State 8 (Game Two)

The Dickinson State University Blue Hawks completed a two game sweep over the Winnipeg Wesmen with a narrow 8-5 victory in game two of a double header Sunday in Dickinson State, North Dakota.

The Blue Hawks defeated the Wesmen 13-0 in the opening game early Sunday afternoon.

Winnipeg jumped out a 2-0 lead after 2.5 innings until the Blue Hawks rallied to score two runs in innings 3-5 to open up a 6-2 lead. Winnipeg made a charge in the late innings but fell short as the Blue Hawks hung on for the victory.

Nick Drews had a pair of hits and drove in three runs for Winnipeg. Brendan Gaunt had three hits for the Wesmen.

WESMEN 4 Dickinson State 3 (Game One)

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men's Baseball team defeated the Dickinson State University Blue Hawks 4-3 in game one of a double header Saturday afternoon in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Starting pitcher Josh Loewen threw six plus innings for the victory before giving way to Daniel Worb who completed the game and picked up the save.

Winnipeg improves it's season record to 3-5.

WESMEN 9  Dickinson State 10 (Game Two)

The Dickinson State University Blue Hawks edged the Winnipeg Wesmen 10-9 in game two of Saturday's double header in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Boxscore

Winnipeg won the opening game 4-3 earlier Saturday afternoon.

Nick Drews went deep for two home runs in the contest for the Wesmen.

Winnipeg and Dickinson State will wrap up their series on Sunday with a pair of games. Game one is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. Winnipeg time.
