Cunningham Named Canada West All-Star

Fourth Year Men's Basketball Guard And Team Co-Captain Andrew Cunningham Was Named Today To The Canada West Men's Basketball Second All-Star Team..

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen and the Canada West Universities Athletic Association are pleased to announce that Men's Basketball player Andrew Cunningham has been selected as a second team Canada West Men's Basketball All-Star.

Cunningham a fourth year guard and team co-captain led the CIS and Canada West in assists with 163 (7.8 apg).His 163 assists during the regular season broke the Canada West single season record of 162. He was a starter in 21 games during the regular season averaging 10.5 points and 32 minutes per game.

Cunningham’s stellar defensive play was evident finishing the regular season with 41 steals (8th in Canada West). He scored a season high 33 points in the final regular season game at Manitoba (February 13, 2013). Cunningham came close to setting another record in game two of the Canada West Quarter-Final series against Trinity Western on February 23, 2013. He finished the contest with 17 assists tying the Canada West single game record.
