The Wesmen Baseball team finished their pre-season series at the Metrodome in Minneapolis with an even 2-2 record. Winnipeg won their first two games on Wednesday against a tough Valley City State squad. In Thursday's doubleheader Winnipeg fell short in their games against Oakton Community College.

"The results from this week especially the wins over Valley City really help the progression of our program. The players played their hearts out and it creates some positive momentum going forward. We now see where we are and what we have to do to get better", said Wesmen head coach Mike Krykewich.
Winnipeg will travel home to prepare for their next action on March 9-10 against Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana.
