WESMEN 0 Lethbridge 0 Match Statistics
Goalkeeper Tyson Farago stopped every shot that came his direction to help the Wesmen earn a 0-0 scoreless draw with the Lethbridge Pronghorns Saturday afternoon in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Farago was the difference in Winnipeg earning the draw, making 12 saves on the day, many of which were the difficult variety.
Winnipeg's record moves to 0-7-2 on the season while Lethbridge runs their record to 3-2-3.
Despite a scoreless opening half, Lethbridge set the pace of the game and held the majority of the ball possession. Shot attempts in the opening half heavily favored the Pronghorns 13-1 and if not for some exceptional saves from Farago, Lethbridge would have carried a lead at the half. Farago made seven saves in the first 45 minutes.
The second half saw much of the same with Lethbridge leading in virtually every category. Shots were closer in the second half with the home team holding a 9-4 advantage, but the Wesmen did create two corners in the half, after none in the opening 45 minutes.
These same two teams face-off tomorrow afternoon to conclude the weekend series, kick-off is set for 3:00 p.m.

The Winnipeg Wesmen wrapped up a two match weekend series against the Lethbridge Pronghorns with a 1-1 draw Sunday afternoon in Lethbridge, Alberta.
The two teams played to a scoreless draw in the opening match of the weekend series on Saturday.
With the tie, Winnipeg's record stands at 0-7-3. Lethbridge sees their record go to 3-2-4.
Ross Pinhammer opened the scoring in the first half for the Wesmen, while Scott Slomp responded for the Pronghorns in a chippy affair that saw the teams combine for 32 fouls.
The Wesmen opened the scoring just as the game got to the six minute mark. Pinhammer lined up a free kick from the 25 yard mark and his strike moved around the Pronghorns wall and found the low left corner.
Heading into the second half, the Wesmen were more dangerous and nearly extended their lead.
Richard Rundle found himself on the finishing end of a nice give-and-go play but his shot from 30-yards out hit the post. Moments later, Lethbridge goalkeeper Tyler Boast made a nice diving save from a shot off the foot of Scott Ansell.
Lethbridge got their goal off a corner kick in the 79th minute. Dominique Point du Jours corner was redirected by Slomp deep in the Wesmen box and found the lower right corner to knot the game at one.
Despite both teams urgently pushing forward at every opportunity in the final 11 minutes, neither team truly threatened to score the game winning goal.
Wesmen goalkeeper Tyson Farago made seven stops while Boast finished the day with five saves for Lethbridge.
