"Stand Up For Students" Dinner

The "Stand Up For Students" Dinner Will Take Place This Thursday. The Special Evening Is In Support Of Wesmen Student-Athlete Scholarships..

The University of Winnipeg’s Faculty of Kinesiology will host the “Stand Up For Students” Dinner, presented by Pratts Foods, on Thursday, November 1st at the Fort Garry Brewery. This special evening in support of student scholarships will see some of Winnipeg’s finest chefs preparing an array of dishes — paired with various beverages — and served “stand-up" style.

The scholarship dinner is also in honour of the new Faculty of Kinesiology at UWinnipeg. “We are excited to celebrate the launch of the new faculty, and to combine it with an opportunity to raise vital funds for our students,” said Dr. David Fitzpatrick, new Dean of Kinesiology.

The special evening will be hosted by local radio personality Joe Aiello, and will feature a team of local Winnipeg chefs. Each chef will prepare a dish to be paired with a beverage and served to guests gathered inside the Fort Garry Brewery. Although seating will be available, the meal is a “stand-up” affair, allowing guests to mingle and tour the brewery while enjoying a great evening that will include several fun activities.
