Game One (at Koskie Field) WESMEN 5 Minot State 18
The Minot State University Beavers defeated the Winnipeg Wesmen
18-5 Sunday afternoon in a soggy nine inning affair at Koskie Field.
Minot State scored six runs in the third inning to take a commanding lead early on and never looked back.
Winnipeg will next see action on Tuesday afternoon against Northland Community College at Koskie Field.
The Wesmen will wrap up their inaugural season next Friday (May 11)
against the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Shaw Park starting at 6:00 p.m. Please

Game One (at Koskie Field) WESMEN 1 Minot State 14
The Minot State University Beavers scored eight runs in the sixth inning to propel them to a 14-1 victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen Saturday afternoon at Koskie Field.
The Beavers led 6-1 after five innings but blew the game wide open the following inning.
Starting pitcher Josh Loewen gave up six runs and nine hits in five innings of work for the Wesmen.
Winnipeg had bases loaded with one out in the third inning, but two straight outs got the Beavers out of a jam.
The loss dropped the Wesmens record to 8-13 in their inaugural season.
Game Two (at Shaw Park) WESMEN 4 vs Minot State 6 Linescore
The Minot State University Beavers completed a doubleheader sweep over the Winnipeg Wesmen with a 6-4 victory Saturday afternoon at Shaw Park.
Minot State scored three runs in the opening inning only to see that disappear as the Wesmen bats came alive in the bottom the third scoring three runs of their own to tie the score at 3-3.
The Beavers responded with single runs in innings five, six and seven restored their three run lead at 6-3 . Winnipeg closed out the scoring with a single run in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the final score 6-4.
