Brock Munro Commits To Men's Wrestling

Men's Wrestling Head Coach Adrian Bruce Announced Today The Commitment Of Brock Munro To The Men's Wrestling Program For The Start Of The 2012-2013 Season..


The University of Winnipeg and Men’s Wrestling head coach Adrian Bruce are pleased to announce the commitment of Brock Munro (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan) to the Wesmen Men’s Wrestling Program for the start of the 2012-2013 season in September.

Munro 18, recently won the gold medal at the 2012 Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association Provincial Championship in the 69 kg weight class. This past February he won a bronze medal at the Western Canada Elite Tournament held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He compiled an impressive record of 25-1 this past season at Carton Comprehensive High School and was named the school’s Wrestling MVP on two occasions. Brock is a two time SHSAA Regional Champion and was also the 2011 Saskatchewan Amateur Wrestling Association Provincial Champion.

“Brock is a shining example of where hard work and commitment can take you, he fits our program very well and we are very pleased to have him. He is the kind of wrestler that always seems to find a way to win and contribute in a team environment”, added Wesmen head coach Adrian Bruce.

Brock is a member of the Prince Albert Wrestling Club and will pursue a degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Winnipeg.
