Volleyball Players Lauren Sears And Zack Diboll Have Been Selected As The Lea Marc Printing Wesmen Athletes Of The Month For February 2012..
The University of Winnipeg Wesmen in conjunction with lea marc Printing Solutions are pleased to announce that Volleyball Players Lauren Sears and Zack Diboll have been chosen as the lea marc Printing Solutions Wesmen Athletes of the Month for February 2012.
Lauren Sears , Women’s Volleyball· 77 kills (six matches)
· 28 blocks
· 17 defensive digs
· 11 service aces
· Wesmen Duckworth Challenge Player of the Game
Sears, fifth year middle and team captain completed her university playing career in style. She played a big part in leading the Wesmen to four victories during the month, including a victory at the Duckworth Challenge against the Manitoba Bisons. Sears was instrumental in leading the Wesmen to a two match sweep in their quarter-final series against the Bisons. Sears had 33 kills, 11 blocks, 5 digs and 3 aces in the series.
Zack Diboll, Men’s Volleyball· 42 assists (two matches)
· 20 defensive digs
· 8 kills
· One ace, One block
· Wesmen Duckworth Challenge Player of the Game
Diboll, fifth year setter completed his final year with two impressive matches against the Manitoba Bisons. At the Duckworth Challenge, Diboll had a solid match finishing with 20 assists, 8 defensive digs and 4 kills. His efforts were rewarded as he was named the Wesmen Duckworth Challenge Player of the Game.
