The University of Winnipeg Wesmen in conjunction with lea marc Printing Solutions are pleased to announce that Basketball Players Yael Kaplan and Eric Zimmerman have been chosen as the lea marc Printing Solutions Wesmen Athletes of the Month for December 2011. |

Kaplan, second year guard led the team in scoring in both games played during the month of December. The highlight of the month was a double-double performance consisting of 17 points, 11 rebounds at the Duckworth Challenge against the Manitoba Bisons. The Wesmen defeated Manitoba 56-42.

Zimmerman, fourth year guard was named an all-star at the 45th Annual Wesmen Classic. In the team’s second game of the Classic, Eric scored a game high 27 points, grabbed five rebounds to along with three steals and three assists against the Valley City State University Vikings.
