Alberta led at the technical timeout 16-15, but an error by the Pandas on the next play put Winnipeg back into the game. Once the Pandas hit 20 points, Omelchenko took over, scoring three of the next five points to close out the match.

The Pandas (5-1) hit the road next weekend as they travel to Manitoba to take on the  Bisons, while Winnipeg (6-2) returns home to host Thompson Rivers next Friday and Saturday at the Duckworth Centre.
