WESMEN 61 Jamestown College 77
A strong second half lifted the Jamestown College Jimmies to a 77-61 victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon in Jamestown, North Dakota.
Winnipeg went into the halftime break leading 37-35 but the Jimmies outscored the Wesmen 42-24 in the second half.
Third year forward Alyssa Grant led the Wesmen with 18 points.
Head coach Tanya McKay and her team will now head home to prepare to open up their 2011-2012 Canada West regular season schedule on home court next Friday and Saturday against the Lethbridge Pronghorns. Game time both nights at the Duckworth Centre is 6:00 p.m.

The Winnipeg Wesmen wrapped up their pre-season schedule with a 76-57 loss to the Jamestown College Jimmies Saturday afternoon in Jamestown, North Dakota.
The Jimmies had control of this game in the first half leading 40-20 going into the half time break. Winnipeg played a better second half but could not put a dent into the deficit.
For the second night in a row, Eric Zimmerman led the Wesmen in scoring. The fourth year guard finished with 18 points. Benny Iko led the team in rebounds with seven.
Winnipeg will prepare for their regular season opening series this Friday and Saturday against Lethbridge at the Duckworth Centre. Game times both nights is 8:00 p.m.

Fifth year guard Amy Ogidan led the Wesmen with a double-double 22 points, 10 rebounds. Alyssa Grant added 18 and first year forward Tia Coulter finished with 10 points.
