Bromley, Hince Named MCAC Soccer MVP'S

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen in conjunction with the Manitoba Colleges
Athletic Conference are pleased to announce that Wesmen Soccer players
Adam Bromley and Sheri Hince have been named
the MCAC Men’s and Women’s Soccer Most Valuable Players for the 2011 season. The
announcement was made at the 2011 MCAC Soccer Championships awards banquet
earlier this evening.
Bromley, a second year mid fielder and team captain played a big part in leading the men's team to an undefeated regular season record of 8-0. Bromley was one of the league leaders in goals and was named the MCAC Week Four Male Athlete of The Week. Bromley scored four goals in a 6-1 victory over Red River College back on October 2nd.
Hince wins her second consecutive MVP award after helping the women's team to a first place regular season finish with a perfect 6-0 record. Hince led the Wesmen in goal scoring and was named the MCAC Week Two Female Athlete of the Week after scoring four goals in a 9-1 victory over Providence College.

The Wesmen also picked up a number of MCAC
Soccer All-Conference selections as Kenny Sacramento and
Tyson Farago were selected on the men’s side while
Jeanine Froese, Kayla Jacobsen and Serafina
Trunzo were selected from the women’s team.
The selections were voted on by soccer coaches from
all five schools.
The number one seeded women’s team will face the
number four seed Red River College Rebels in one semi final Saturday afternoon
at 2:00 p.m. #2 CMU will play #3 Providence College in the early semi final at
10:00 a.m. The winners will play in the Championship Match on Sunday afternoon
at 1:00 p.m.
On the men’s side the number one seeded Wesmen will
face the number four seed St. Boniface College in one semi final match Saturday
afternoon at 4:00 p.m. #2 Providence will take on #3 Red River College in the
first semi final at 12:00 p.m. The Championship Match will take place on at 3:00
p.m.
All matches will take place at Red River
College.
