Men's and Women's Wrestling at University of Calgary Dino's  Invitational

The Men's Wrestling team had some impressive results at the University of Calgary Dinos Invitational. In Saturday's action Gordon McNabb and Eric Skeavington finished 3rd and 4th respectively in their division.

In the Women's Division, Jessica Brenton lost both of her matches, her first match was a hard fought loss to World Champion Dannielle LePage. Brenton second loss was to Simon Fraser University. Caroline Tess finished 1-2 in the competition.

Friday, October 21 

WESMEN 53 Jamestown College 83

The Jamestown College Jimmies defeated the Winnipeg Wesmen 83-53 in a non-conference game at Friday night at the Mayville State Invitational in Mayville, North Dakota.

Second year guard Yael Kaplan led the Wesmen with 11 points.

Winnipeg will play the host Mayville State Comets Saturday night at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, October 22

WESMEN 80  Mayville St. 82

The Mayville State Comets defeated the Winnipeg Wesmen 82-80 on a shot at the buzzer Saturday night at the Mayville State Invitational in Mayville, North Dakota.

Stephanie Kleysen who led the Wesmen with 24 points, hit a three pointer with 15 seconds left to tie the score at 80-80 setting up the winning shot by the Comets at the buzzer.

Winnipeg will head home and be on the road again next weekend with games in Valley City State and Jamestown to wrap up their non-conference schedule.
