The Winnipeg Wesmen remain undefeated in MCAC regular season action after posting an impressive 4-1 victory over the St. Boniface College Voyageurs Saturday afternoon at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.

Winnipeg opened the scoring at the 18th minute on a goal by Kenny Sacramento. Adam Bromley was successful on a penalty kick in the 35th minute to extend the Wesmen lead to 2-0. The score remained 2-0 at the halftime break.

The Voyageurs hit the scoreboard in the 72nd minute to cut the Wesmen lead to 2-1. Winnipeg clinched the victory in the closing minutes on goals by Richard Rundle (85th minute) and Amos Ganyea (88th minute) to make the final tally 4-1 in Winnipeg's favor.

The victory improves Winnipeg's record to 6-0 in the MCAC Men's Soccer standings. The Wesmen will next see action next Saturday (October 15th) as they host Canadian Mennonite University at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex. Match time is 2:00 p.m.

The Women’s Soccer team continued their impressive play this season. The Wesmen defeated the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 13-0 Wednesday evening at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.

The victory improves Winnipeg’s record to 4-0 and remain in sole possession of first place in the MCAC Women’s Soccer standings with 12 points, six points ahead of CMU.

Winnipeg will next see action on Saturday, October 15th with a home match against CMU at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex. Match time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

The Wesmen Men’s Soccer team posted a 5-0 victory over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers Wednesday night at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.

Kenny Sacramento and Scott Ansell each scored two goals. Amos Ganyea scored one.

The win boosts the Wesmen back into first place in the MCAC Men’s Soccer standings with a perfect 5-0 record, two points ahead of Providence College.

Winnipeg will play host to St.Boniface College this Saturday afternoon at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
