Rhea White Commits to The Wesmen


The University of Winnipeg and Women's Volleyball Head Coach Diane Scott are pleased to announce that Rhea White from Winston Knoll Collegiate in Regina has committed to joining the University of Winnipeg Women's Volleyball program in September.

The 5'9" Setter/Right Side will graduate from Winston Knoll Collegiate this June with an academic average of 88%. She will be enrolling here at the University of Winnipeg in undergrad courses to prepare her for a career in Nursing.

Rhea has been a multi-sport athlete all of her life with her primary sports being volleyball, basketball and softball. She has numerous coaches awards in all sports, named to all-star teams and has received MVP's in both basketball and volleyball. She has been a member of the varsity team since grade 10 and in 2006-07 as a Jr. was both a City and Provincial Champion in volleyball. Rhea was named Jr Female Athlete of the Year in grade 10 and most recently Sr. Female Athlete of the Year for grade 12.

Rhea has been on the honor roll all through high school, and presently maintains a 88% average. She is a solid team player, has great leadership skills, loves to compete and has experienced success at all levels. She has been a member of the Regina Radz Volleyball Club for the last 3 years.

"We are pleased to be able to provide Rhea with an opportunity to join our women's volleyball program. She is a solid and mature young woman who is excited about the opportunity to play at the CIS level and ready for the challenge. She will provide balance and depth for our program bringing a fresh attitude into our environment", added Wesmen Head Coach Diane Scott.
