Second year midfielder Sheri Hince scored four goals to lead the Winnipeg Wesmen to a regular season opening 9-1 victory over Providence College Wednesday night in Otterburne, Manitoba.Kayla White, Jeanine Froese, Chelsea Kwasnicki, Julia Anning and Serafina Trunzo each scored one goal for the Wesmen.
The Wesmen (1-0) will be in action next on Tuesday, September 27th with a visit to Red River College to take on the Rebels. Match time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Men's Soccer at Providence College
WESMEN 6 Providence College 0
The Winnipeg Wesmen Mens Soccer team defeated Providence College 6-0 Thursday evening at Providence College in Otterburne, Manitoba.
Kenny Sacramento led the Wesmen with three goals. Adam Bromley, Richard Rundle, Sebastiano Grande each scored one.
Tyson Farago was in net for Winnipeg and picked up his second consecutive shutout. Winnipeg blanked Red River College 2-0 last Saturday in their regular season opener.
As a team we played a very good and very discipline match. We kept moving the ball and played with the speed that we are capable of. It was a solid match by the whole team, said head coach Pedro Daza.
Winnipeg (2-0) will continue their regular season schedule this Saturday afternoon against St. Boniface at Whittier Park. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Men's Soccer at St.Boniface College
WESMEN 2 St.Boniface College 1
The Wesmen Mens Soccer team remained undefeated after recording a 2-1 victory over St. Boniface College Saturday afternoon at Whittier Park.
Winnipeg improves to 3-0 on the season and currently sits in sole possession of first place in the MCAC Mens Soccer Conference standings.
The Wesmen opened the scoring late in the first half on a goal by Amos Ganyea. It turned out to be the only goal scored in the opening half with the Wesmen holding a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half Scott Ansell scored early on to extend the Wesmen lead to 2-0. St. Boniface scored a goal late in the second half to close out the scoring, making the final score 2-1 in Winnipegs favor.
The Wesmen will next see action on Sunday, October 2nd in their home opener against Red River College at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex (900 Waverley Street). Match time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
