Basketball Players, Inner City Meet Nash
Members Of The Wesmen Basketball Teams Along With Children From The Inner City Got A Chance To Meet NBA Super Star Steve Nash Monday Afternoon..
Members of the University of Winnipeg Wesmen Basketball teams along with players from the inner city took part in a special players clinic with NBA super star Steve Nash Monday afternoon at the University of Manitoba.
Wesmen head coach Mike Raimbault and former Wesmen player and current University of Manitoba head coach Kirby Schepp along with Nash (two-time NBA MVP with the Phoenix Suns and winner of this year’s St Boniface Hospital Foundation International Award for humanitarian activities) participated in a basketball clinic with inner city basketball players.
Nash also spoke to the players and the audience about the importance of nutrition in an athlete’s life amongst other topics.
