Women's Volleyball Add Experience To Roster

Women's Volleyball Head Coach Diane Scott Announced Today The Commitment Of Tesca Andrew-Wasylik To Her Roster For The Start Of The 2011-2012 Season..


University of Winnipeg Women’s Volleyball head coach Diane Scott is pleased to announce the commitment of Tesca Andrew-Wasylik (Unionville, Ontario) to her roster. Wasylik joins the Wesmen after spending four years as a member and team captain of the Wilfred Laurier University Women’s Volleyball team.

“We are very pleased to have a student-athlete of Tesca’s caliber and experience join our team. Her previous experience along with her leadership, skill, athleticism and maturity will fill a gap on our roster. Tesca fits perfectly into our evolution as a team”, said Wesmen head coach Diane Scott.

The 5’8 outside hitter is currently training as a libero with the Women’s National “B” team in preparation for the World Universiade Games this August in Shenzen China. Last season Andrew- Wasylik was awarded the OUA Award of Merit, which celebrates leadership and contribution to the University community. She recorded 147 kills and 187 digs during the season and has continually led the Hawks over her career. She has demonstrated her leadership abilities on the court and even as a coach, having coached an A.C.T.S. Elites Rep Volleyball Club team. She also worked at Laurier's Volleyball U Camp as an assistant coach.

Andrew - Wasylik was a member of Team Ontario that placed second at the 2009 Canada Summer Games in Prince Edward Island.

She was also an honor roll student at St. Augustine Catholic High School in Markham, Ontario.
