Baseball Adds Seven Players To Roster
Head Coach Mike Krykewich Announced The Commitments Of Seven Players To The Wesmen Baseball Program Roster For the Upcoming Season..
The University of Winnipeg Wesmen Baseball Program has expanded its roster. Head coach Mike Krykewich is pleased to announce the addition of seven players to their current roster. The following players will begin classes and training this September and prepare for their full slate of games beginning in the spring of 2012.
Bennett Podolsky (RH Pitcher- Winnipeg, MB)
- Member of the 2011 Red River Pioneer Midget Team
- Played on the 2010 Provincial Youth Selects Team
Chris Hourihan (Infielder - Winnipeg, MB)
- Member of the 2011 Winnipeg South Chiefs Junior Team
Michael Meany (Third Base/Pitcher - Thunder Bay, ON)
- Previously played at Ellsworth Community College (Iowa)
Nick Drews (Utility Player - Ericksdale, MB)
- Previously played at Mayville State (North Dakota)
Josh Drews (LH Pitcher - Ericksdale, MB)
- Senior transfer from Mayville State (North Dakota)
Danny Braun (LH Pitcher - Morris, MB)
- Member of the South Central Midget AAA Team
Jeremy Shebaylo (Third/First Base - Winnipeg, MB)
- Member of the St.Boniface Legionnaires (AA)
“The program continues to develop with the addition of these players. We are very excited to add players with previous college baseball experience and look forward to working with these new players”, added head coach Mike Krykewich.
