The University of Winnipeg and Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Diane Scott are pleased to announce that Tia Boroski from Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute has committed to the Women’s Volleyball program for the 2011-2012 Canada West season.

An accomplished club player, Tia played the past two seasons with the Cobra Girl’s Club Volleyball Team coached by Phil Hudson. The team placed in the top eight at Nationals both years, including a third place finish in 2010. Boroski was a member of the Jr.Wesmen volleyball program (2007) and the Winman 16U team (2009).

She is the niece of former Wesmen star Brenda Boroski (Westwood).

Boroski has been an honor roll student since grade seven and presently maintains a 94% GPA.

“We are very pleased that Tia will be joining our program this fall. She brings the elements of balance, depth and consistency to our team.
