Alicia Perry Commits to Women’s Volleyball Program


The University of Winnipeg and Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Diane Scott are pleased to announce that Alicia Perry from Arborg, Manitoba has committed to joining the Wesmen for the start of the 2009-2010 season this September.

Perry, a 6’1” middle/right side will graduate from Arborg Collegiate Institute in June. She currently has a grade point average of 80%.

Perry was a member of the Selkirk Royals 17U and 18U Club Team that won consecutive National Championships in 2007 and 2008 and Provincial Championships in 2006 and 2007. She joins the Wesmen after a very successful high school career where she was named the Arborg Collegiate Institute Athlete of the Year (2004-2008), Junior Varsity MVP (2005-2006, 2006-2007) and the Senior Varsity Most Improved Player in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.

A dedicated multi sport talent, Alicia was a member of many school sports including basketball and track and field.

“We are very pleased to invite such a keen student/athlete into our program. Alicia brings a “team” attitude to the environment and a willingness to strive to do what it takes to improve, blend and achieve”, said Wesmen Head Coach Diane Scott.
