Fifth Year Basketball Players Catie Gooch and Nick Lother Were named Today As The Lea Marc Printing Wesmen Athletes of The Month For February..
The University of Winnipeg Wesmen in conjunction with Lea Marc Printing are pleased to announce that Women’s Basketball Player Catie Gooch and Men’s Basketball Player Nick Lother have been chosen as the lea marc Printing Wesmen Athletes of the Month for February 2011.
Catie Gooch, Women’s Basketball· 122 points (15.2 points per game - eight games)
· 27 rebounds
· 26 three-pointers
· 22 assists
· 14 steals
· Set a modern day Canada West Women’s Basketball record for most three pointers in a single game (nine) at Brandon, Saturday, February 12, 2011.
· Finished the regular season as the third leading scorer in the Canada West Conference averaging 16.2 points per game
Nick Lother, Men’s Basketball· 176 points (29.3 points per game - six games)
· 31 assists
· 20 rebounds
· 19 three-pointers
· 14 steals
· Set a Canada West Men’s Basketball single game record for most free throws made (22) and attempts (28) at Lethbridge, Saturday, February 18, 2011
· Named Canada West and CIS Male Athlete of the Week for the period ending February 20, 2011
