Tanner McFeetors Commits To Men's Volleyball Program

Head Coach Larry McKay Announced Today That Provincial Champion Tanner McFeetors Has Committed To The Men's Volleyball Program..

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen and Men’s Volleyball Head Coach Larry McKay are pleased to announce the commitment of Tanner McFeetors to the University of Winnipeg Men’s Volleyball program this September for the start of the 2011-2012 Canada West season.

McFeetors, 6’4” outside hitter captained the Dakota Lancer Varsity Boys’ Volleyball team to the MHSAA Provincial AAAA Volleyball Championship this past year. His outstanding play led to his selection on the Tournament All-Star team. A great serve receiver and a hard hitter, McFeetors was selected as a graduating all-star following the season.

“Tanner’s size, skill and overall athletic ability make him a likely CIS level player and we are pleased he selected our university and program” said Larry McKay, Head Coach University of Winnipeg Men’s Volleyball program.

A multi sport athlete, Tanner was captain of the Dakota Lancer hockey team and was selected to play in the high school hockey all-star game this past year. He was selected as a captain at the all-star game by his coaches.

McFeetors was also an accomplished student earning honour roll status throughout high school.

“Tanner is one of the top graduating players in the Province. He is an excellent passer and defender who will develop into an outstanding CIS left side player”, added Phil Hudson, head coach Dakota Varsity Boys Volleyball team.
