A strong second half propelled the Saskatchewan Huskies to an 80-60 victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen in the Championship Final at the 44th Annual Wesmen Classic. The Huskies trailed 39-35 at halftime, but exploded for 45 second half points and holding the Wesmen to only 21 second half points. Jamelle Barrett led the Huskies with a game high 22 points, seven assists. Rejean Chabot added 20 points. Michael Lieffers led the Huskies on the boards with 16. Kelvin Smith led the Wesmen with 15 points, including three-three pointers. Nick Lother added 13 points and four assists. Lynden Drayton-Barrow and Benny Iko added 10. Iko had a team high nine rebounds.
