The Jamestown College Jimmies used a strong opening half to lift them to a 92-62 victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen Friday evening in an exhibition game played in Jamestown, North Dakota.

The Jimmies connected on 58% shooting from the field in the opening twenty minutes while outscoring the Wesmen 55-31.

Lynden Drayton-Barrow led the Wesmen with a game high 19 points, including five-of-seven from three point range. Benny Iko added 13 points and a team high seven rebounds. Nick Lother added eight points and five assists.

Winnipeg made a charge in the second half scoring ten unanswered points in a span of 1:33 to cut the deficit to 55-41. The Jimmies recovered and went on to outscore the Wesmen 37-21 in the remaining time to secure the 92-62 win.

The Wesmen will now turn their focus to the University section of the 44th Wesmen Classic that gets underway on Tuesday, December 28. Winnipeg will face McMaster in their opening game. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Duckworth Centre.
