WESMEN 80 Concordia 85
The Wesmen Men's Basketball team put in a great effort that fell just short. The Wesmen were defeated 85-80 by the Concordia University Stingers in the opening game of the Concordia University Invitational in Montreal Friday night.
The Wesmen had four players scoring in double-digits. Kenny Perry led the team with 19 points. Fifth year guard Nick Lother added 15. Lynden Drayton Barrow had 14 and Nolin Gooding finished with 13.
Despite the loss first year Wesmen Head Coach Mike Raimbault was relatively pleased with his team's effort.
" The guys played hard tonight. We have a lot to work on but there is definitely signs of improvement", added Raimbault.
Winnipeg will take on Ryerson in the consolation final Saturday night at 5:00 p.m.

WESMEN 65 Ryerson 80 (Consolation Final)
The Men's Basketball team concluded the two day Concordia University Invitational with a 80-65 loss to Ryerson University in the consolation final Saturday night in Montreal.
Lynden Drayton Barrow led the Wesmen with 17 points.
