WESMEN 4 CUSB - Saint Boniface 1
The Wesmen Men's Soccer team defeated Saint Boniface (CUSB) 4-1 in the teams first match on home turf Saturday afternoon at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.
The victory improves the Wesmen's MCAC regular season record to 3-0-1good for first place in the Men's Conference standings.
The Wesmen opened the scoring in the 25th minute of play on a penalty kick by defender Paul Thompson. Winnipeg went into the half break with a 1-0 lead.
In the second half Kyle Fernandes gave the Wesmen a 2-0 lead scoring in the 69th minute of play. Forward Sean Dong extended the Wesmen lead with a pair of goals, first on a successful penalty kick in the 85th minute and than in extra time to make the score 4-0.
Saint Boniface scored a late goal in extra time to make the final score 4-1 in Winnipeg's favor.
The Wesmen will hit the field tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m. against Canadian Mennonite University. The women's soccer team will play the Blazers at 2:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex (900 Waverley Street).

WESMEN 10 Canadian Mennonite University 0
The Wesmen defeated the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 10-0 Sunday afternoon at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.
The goal scoreres for the Wesmen were: Sheri Hince (three goals), Josee Gregoire and Janelle Deniset (two goals), Kayla Jacobson, Brittany Wheeler and Morgan Geiger each scored one goal.
The victory improves the teams record to 3-0 and in first place in the MCAC Women's Soccer standings.
The Wesmen will close out the regular season against Providence College next Sunday afternoon at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
Men's Soccer
WESMEN 7 Canadian Mennonite University 0
The Wesmen men's soccer team defeated the CMU Blazers 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.
Adam Bromley and Sean Dong led with the Wesmen with two goals each. Andrew Okenwa, Amos Ganyea and Scott Ansell added singles.
The victory improves Winnipeg's record to 4-0-1. The Wesmen remain in first place in the MCAC Men's Soccer standings.
Winnipeg will wrap up thei regular season schedule against Providence College next Sunday afternoon at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
