The Impressive Play Of Matt Schriemer At The 2010 NORCECA Jr.Men's Volleyball Championships Played A Huge Role In Leading Team Canada To A Silver Medal..
The impressive play of Matthew Schriemer at the 2010 NORCECA Jr.Men’s Volleyball Championships in Gatineau, Quebec this past week played a huge role in leading Team Canada to a silver medal.Schriemer, a 6'7" opposite entering his second season with the University of Winnipeg’s Men’s Volleyball program led the team with 21 points in a big upset against the three time defending champions from Cuba (22-25, 25-19, 25-7, 25-15) in the semi finals last Friday night.
The victory over Cuba guaranteed a spot for Canada at the 2011 World Junior Volleyball Championships in Brazil.
In Saturday’s gold medal match, USA defeated the Canadian squad (25-14, 25-19, 25-16).
