A Cree Perspective - 140 Years of Theological Education

The University of Winnipegs Faculty of Theology celebrates its 140 anniversary by presenting a lecture by The Very Reverend Dr. Stanley McKay entitled A Cree Perspective on a 140 Years of Theological Education on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall, (Third Floor, Centennial Hall), 515 Portage Ave. This lecture is also part of The University of Winnipegs Homecoming weekend that runs until Sunday, September 11, 2011.

Dr. Stan McKay was born into an extended family on the territory of the Fisher River First Nation. He attended the Fisher River and the Birtle Indian Residential School. He taught school in Norway House and Nelson House First Nations. McKay graduated from the University of Winnipeg Faculty of Theology in 1971 and is presently retired in Gladstone, Manitoba.
