Urban and Inner City Studies
Our New Location
Urban and Inner-City Studies Program - Relocation to North End!
The Urban and Inner-City Studies Program has moved its administrative and faculty offices and classroom space to an inner-city location. Our faculty and staff have a commitment to widening access by offering our core program of courses at our new off-campus site - 527 Selkirk. Our new site will create a unique and exciting learning environment for all University of Winnipeg students.
We invite prospective students to visit us here at 527 Selkirk Ave to see the facilities and learn more about the opportunities available in this unique setting.
At our new location, we will continue to offer a supportive learning environment that includes personalized and program-specific advising and we will be offering supports such as senior student mentoring/tutoring.
Urban and Inner-City Studies builds on the knowledge and research of urban scholars at the University of Winnipeg and it also works to incorporate as part of the dialogue and intellectual exchange the wisdom and practical experience of inner-city workers, activists and administrators. Our goal is to invite students from both non-traditional and traditional educational backgrounds to share their understanding, their concerns and their visions of the twenty-first century city.
Check our website for updated information.
