Vulnerability Assessments

Periodic scans are performed on campus systems to help ensure they are not vulnerable.  Scans performed on systems are done in a non-intrusive way - meaning no vulnerability checks that will cause a loss of service are performed.  Additionally, if new weaknesses are found, the scanner(s) will not attempt to exploit them.  A report is usually generated that has suggestions on how systems can be fixed if problems are found.
