hearing aids by people who are deaf for people with a hearing loss.
The presentation will discuss Solar Ears unique business model,
enabling Fortune 500 type companies to learn from a social business,
which will offer them low risk business opportunities. Solar Ears
holistic hearing health program DREET (Detection, Research, Education,
Equipment, Therapy) can also be used by other health and educational
and government organizations.
For 25 years, Weinstein ran a successful international manufacturing
business based in Montreal. He volunteered in Botswana, helping start
sustainable businesses for people with a disability. He was able to
replicate and scale his social business model internationally.
Weinstein has won several Technology and Health Innovation awards, the
AAA Humanitarian Award, and the Global Social Entrepreneur of Year
Award by WTN at the UN. His work has been included in Newsweek,
National Geographic and 20 other magazines in 6 countries and products
he has helped develop have been shown at Smithsonian, Alexander Graham
Bell and Bottom of Pyramid Museum in Japan. He has lectured on social
business at Harvard, Oxford, Duke, McGill and INSEAD University
