11:30 – 12:45 PM: Inside the Industry Seminar

The Business of Sport seminar will be led by
business individuals working within the local sports industry and will introduce
students to the business focus of sports teams in Winnipeg. Students will learn
about all of the facets of their business education that are put into practice
every day to make their favourite sporting events a reality.
1:00 – 4:00: The Business of Sport Charity Hockey
Tournament (Buhler Centre Parking Lot)
The Business of Sport Charity Hockey Tournament
is a
charitable event that will give students, corporate partners, and community
members the opportunity to interact in a fun environment. Corporate partners and
community members will have the opportunity to submit a team to compete as
well.
4:00 – 6:00: The Wind-Up (Garbanzo's Pizza
Pub)
The Business of Sport will finish with The
Wind-Up, a casual mixer held in the evening at Garbanzo’s Pizza Pub on
campus, where teams who participated, as well as other students and spectators,
will have the opportunity to network with partners and members of the Winnipeg
sports community. Prizes from the Charity Hockey Tournament will be awarded at
this time.
