Gregory Scofield, the UWinnipeg's 2013 Carol Shields Writer-in-Residence, will deliver the program's 8th annual Distinguished Lecture Thurs, March 7 at 7:30 in Convocation Hall at the University of Winnipeg. Gregory's topic is "Update Your Status": A midcareer Metis poet discovers the virtual word of Facebook & Twitter while grappling with the recent Federal Court ruling that the Metis are now considered "status Indians." A reception will follow the lecture. |
