Title: Female Suicide Bombings: Challenges and Responses
Description: The aim of this one-day international workshop is to bring together
scholars interested in the issues of political violence, especially in
the form of female suicide bombings. This workshop will provide an
opportunity to address the complexity and multiplicity of factors at
the heart of female suicide bombings, including gender, culture,
religion, economy and other 'low politics' issues. It will
allow us to expand and improve our understanding of this phenomenon,
as well as to offer an alternative to militaristic counter-terrorism.
