Admissions General Information
The Admissions Office processes all applications for admission to The University of Winnipeg for Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents. In addition, the office is responsible for processing Letters of Permission, evaluating transfer of credit for work completed at other post-secondary institutions, and provides advising for second degree applicants. The Admissions Office is committed to providing a 'students first' service to all new and former students of The University of Winnipeg.
Please note:
- Documentation Required: All documentation submitted in support of an application must be originals. Student copies or uncertified copies are not accepted. Replaceable documents submitted with an application become the property of the University of Winnipeg and will not be returned.
- Misrepresentation, falsification of documents, or the withholding of requested information with respect to the application can result in the cancellation of the application and registration, or dismissal from the University.
- Deadlines: The application and all required documentation must be submitted on or before the deadline date (see Application Instructions for detailed listing of deadline dates)
- Married persons whose academic credentials may be in their birth name or previous married name must submit a marriage certificate for each change. Changes of name for reasons other than marriage must also be substantiated by appropriate, official certification.
- Enrolment Limits: Completion of the minimum entrance requirements does not in itself guarantee admission to any course or program at the University. In instances were the number of qualified applicants exceeds the University's ability to accommodate, the University reserves the right to select from among the qualified applicants. Those applicants seeking admission to limited enrolement programs (Applied Biology, Applied Chemistry, Applied Environmental Studies, Bachelor of Education) are subject to a selection process.
