Stopping the Bullies
Every seven seconds in Canada, a child is bullied. Bullying is a serious problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and online. UWinnipeg researchers are tackling this issue head on.
Dr. Wendy Josephson, Professor of Psychology, is currently working on a project called StandUp!, creating relevant bullying prevention programs and techniques for children for the Family TV Channel.
Dr. Catherine Taylor, Professor, Faculty of Education and Department of Rhetoric, Writing & Communications, is leading a national study funded by
the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). She is conducting a national inventory of programs and policies to foster school connectedness and reduce bullying in Canadian schools.
