Four students from The University of Winnipeg Collegiate were selected to join delegates from around the world at the United Nations Student Conference on Human Rights in New York City in December.  Benjamin Chafe, Zainab Doleeb, Karis Hutlet, and Claire Paetkau were chosen to attend this prestigious conference after submitting a personal essay and were the only representatives from Manitoba.

Since returning home, the students have continued in their global citizenship. Doleeb has established a charity to help empower children through education by building schools and was also nominated for the Global Young Leaders Conference, returning to the UN later in June.

The Collegiate is our unique high school on campus.  Faculty strives to engage students in a rigorous curriculum that will prepare them for and encourage them to pursue a lifelong love of learning. Find out more at collegiate.uwinnipeg.ca
