Carla Cochrane
Master of Arts - Aboriginal Governance
Graduation 2009
Carla Cochrane is documenting the evolution of the involvement of First Nations womens leadership and governance in Manitoba. Her research examines historical roles and follows them through to contemporary governance structures, through interviews with First Nations women. The results should prove inspiring to other students in the Aboriginal Governance Program and to the broader Aboriginal and academic community.
Cochrane is one of the inaugural students in the Master of Arts in Aboriginal Governance program introduced at The University of Winnipeg in 2008. She looks forward to completing her Masters and pursuing First Nations advocacy with all levels of Government
