Outstanding Researchers Shine At UWinnipeg

Original research underway at The University of Winnipeg highlights the depth, breadth and diversity of what the University has to offer. Professors are exploring everything from payday lenders, bats, bones in Cuba, international business and emerging markets, meditation and the brain to Buddhism in Chinese culture, nanomaterials, climate change and butterflies, Indigenous science, and the oxygen paradox. That's just a taste of research captured in a new publication released by UWinnipeg's Research Office today.

“Researchers and students alike are finding themselves in a window of extraordinary opportunity at UWinnipeg,” said Dr. Sandra Kirby, Associate Vice-President (Research) and Dean of Graduate Studies. “Faculty are energized and dedicated; undergraduate, graduate and professional students are academically strong and making their marks on the world.”
