Natalie Zend


Natalie Zend is Sr. Policy Analyst in the Child Protection Unit of the Human Rights and Participation Division, Policy Branch at CIDA. She joined CIDA in 1997 and worked for four years as program analyst and project manager with the South America program. In that capacity she attended the Winnipeg Conference on War-Affected Children and subsequently initiated CIDA programming for children affected by the armed conflict in Colombia. Before beginning her current assignment in 2002, she worked in Bolivia for a year with Save the Children Canada, among other things facilitating the South America regional program's transition toward a child rights-based approach. She holds a master's degree in International Affairs, specializing in Conflict Analysis (refugee issues).
