OmniTRAX/Broe Quest Series

Phyllis Webster

She has been a Journalism teacher at The Collegiate at The University of Winnipeg for 18 years, and has had six years of teaching overseas. Her first teaching positions were in Cape Town, South Africa, followed by postings in Melbourne, Australia and Leeds and Liverpool, England. She also had the pleasure of being on sabbatical with her husband and children in The Netherlands and France. In 2000, she returned to post-Apartheid South Africa as a volunteer in two schools in Grahamstown, and most recently, she spent two months volunteering at a school in southern Costa Rica (where she taught English as a Second Language). She plans to return to Colegio Ambientalista in May.

Webster is a news "junkie" who follows international news avidly and regrets that she has not been able to deliver peace to the world. Her favourite outdoor activity is riding her 1937 CCM bicycle with her little black and white bunny, Nudge, in the bicycle basket.
