Dan Trottier is the Program Coordinator for the Lord Selkirk Aboriginal Women’s Group, Youth Alliance Program. A graduate of the University of Manitoba Counselling Skills Certificate Program, Trottier been employed in the Lord Selkirk Park area for five years. His responsibilities as the program coordinator include production and provision of after school programming for the youth living in the Lord Selkirk Park area. The program runs Monday to Friday from 3:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and includes a drop-in component, providing a proper and nutritious meal 5 days a week, as well as life skills and recreational programming. With almost 100 per cent of program participants coming from the Aboriginal community, the program provides a Cultural and Traditional base for the youth.
