Vann Nguyen
Vann was born and grew up during the Vietnam War. During the war, the government evacuated the children to the countryside that which is why she didn't live with her parents for a couple years. She came to Canada in 1980 from a refugee camp in Hong Kong. She has a Physical Education degree in Vietnam and a Social Worker degree here in Manitoba. She also has a Community Development diploma here in Manitoba. Vann has been working with immigrants and refugees in Winnipeg since 1983. Currently, she is working at The Needs Centre as a counsellor and at the International as an Outreach Liaison officer.
