Dr. Karen Magro
Karen is currently an assistant professor in Education with the University of Winnipeg. She has a doctorate degree in Adult Education and Applied Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of The University of Toronto.
Her master's degree is in Educational Psychology from the University of Manitoba. She taught English and Psychology for 24 years with the Winnipeg School Division. She has also taught certificate and graduate courses in Adult Learning and Literacy Education at the University of Manitoba.
In addition to her teaching experience in Manitoba, Karen has taught in Vancouver, London, England, and San Antonio, Texas. Her research interests are in the psychology of teaching and learning, literacy education, and transformational learning.
