Gabriela Lasko
Gabriela Lasko (nee Agüero) was born in Córdoba, Argentina and has lived in Canada for the last 20 years after residing in several other countries.
She holds a BFA Hon from the University of Manitoba and an MFA from Louisiana State University. Her main interests as an artist have been Human Rights and lately the Peace Movement.
She has recently returned from Rhodes, Greece from the International Institute of Peace Education with the subject “Education for Peace through the Arts.”
She has four children and her main concern right now is introducing Peace Education curriculums in our Education System. Her kid’s school in East Selkirk is celebrating the International Day of Peace this upcoming September 21st in accordance with the International Day of Peace declared by the UN in an event called “Peace Week."
