Rob Bend
Dean, University of Winnipeg Collegiate
Rob Bend is the Dean of The University of Winnipeg Collegiate. He has a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Victoria.
Prior to coming to The University of Winnipeg, he worked in the public school system for over twenty years. He began teaching in Manitou, Manitoba and became a high school principal in Miami, Manitoba at the age of 24. After leaving Miami, he was an administrator at Dakota Collegiate in St. Vital and at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School in Brandon. Along the way, he was seconded to Manitoba Education and Training for two years, to assist schools across the province as they developed school plans and strategies to work with parent councils.
He has been involved in a many projects involving Aboriginal students, international students, and student teachers.
