Winner of Sir William Stephenson Scholarship

Our congratulations go out to Politics Honours student, Bojan Pirnat, who has won this prestigious scholarship.

Awarded annually, this $6,500.00 scholarship is given to only one or two U of W students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, superior leadership qualities and the potential to make a valuable contribution to Canada.

New Common Room - Open for Business!

Good news!  We now have a Student Common Room!  The Politics students are sharing 5L33 with students from the Math/Stats department.  The room has been cleaned and furnished and is now open to students from these departments.  A room schedule is posted on the door. 


Manitoba Chair of Global Governance Studies (GGS)
We are pleased to introduce the 2013 Manitoba Chair of GGS. Dr. Kelly-Kate S. Pease is a Professor in the Department of History, Politics and International Relations, and the Founding Director, Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies, Webster University (St. Louis, MO, USA).

Professor Pease will at the University of Winnipeg for the month of May, 2013 to teach a 3000-level, condensed course on international relations and global governance.  Scheduling details will be forthcoming in  early 2013.
